Counter/Warehouse Associate (Monday - Friday)

Kettering, OH - Full Time

Famous Supply is looking for a Counter/Warehouse Associate at our Kettering, OH Vendor Managed Inventory location (MUST BE ABLE TO TRAIN AT OUR DAYTON, OH, LOCATION)   

Vendor Managed Inventory Associates work in the warehouse and also provide superior service to customers at the Famous Supply branch, in person and via phone, the Famous Way. These Associates help contractor customers get the materials they need so they can get back to their job. 

Note: Famous Supply Warehouse associates will handle large products such as water heaters, furnaces and showers.

Primary Job Responsibilities 

  • Provide friendly and helpful customer service
  • Understand customer needs
  • Process and schedule customer orders
  • Manage Open Orders and customer Bids
  • Pull orders from the warehouse to serve customers
  • Receiving material
  • Put-away of material
  • Picking customer orders
  • Staging customer orders for delivery

Required Experience and Responsibilities

  • Customer service mindset
  • Ability to use computer
  • Ability to utilize internal software to manage order fulfilment and inventory
  • Ability to stand on feet for majority of an 8-hour day
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ensuring product is handled with care to prevent damage
  • Attention to detail to ensure warehouse tasks listed above are done accurately
  • Keeping warehouse clean, neat and organized

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • HVAC and/or Plumbing knowledge. 
  • Forklift experience
  • RF Scanner Experience
  • Warehouse Experience
