Position Summary:

Famous Supply is searching for a corporate controller to lead all accounting team members, reporting directly to the Director of Finance. The ideal person must have solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills. Candidates should possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and experience maintaining internal controls to ensure the integrity of the accounting functionality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions.

· Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results

· Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements

· Coordinating activities of external auditors and tax return preparers.

· Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process

· Managing the budget process

· Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes

· Evaluating accounting and internal control systems

· Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed, communicating and managing needed system improvements.

· Developing and monitoring business performance metrics

· Overseeing regulatory reporting

· Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff and managing hybrid employees

Minimum Qualifications:

· Requires at least 7-10 years of relevant experience (5-7 if in public accounting)

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Proficient in Excel, financial software and ERP systems (Netsuite and/or Eclipse preferable)

· Strong knowledge of GAAP basis financial statements, accounting principles and controls

· Excellent analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking.
